New responsibilities within the Government of New Democracy, and at the same time, a new and significant personal challenge: Following a decision by the Prime Minister, I have been appointed Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.
First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the trust he has placed in me — especially for entrusting me with a portfolio of such critical importance.
This area of responsibility focuses on strengthening Greece’s international presence, fostering and advancing bilateral and multilateral relations on a global level, with the ultimate goal of enhancing our country’s international standing and influence to the fullest extent.
I look forward to getting to work in this new role, in close collaboration with Minister George Gerapetritis and the outstanding team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
