It was a great pleasure to meet with Fuad Na\u011f\u0131yev<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan. Our longstanding relationship, built on mutual respect and friendship, made for a truly pleasant and meaningful discussion on matters of common interest.<\/div>\n

We spoke about the remarkable progress Azerbaijan has achieved in tourism development\u2014through a series of strategic initiatives that have literally transformed the country\u2019s tourism profile, placing it firmly on the map as an increasingly attractive global destination. Fuad Naghiyev shared with me several aspects of the country\u2019s ambitious plans and forward-thinking strategies being designed at the highest level to further advance Azerbaijan\u2019s tourism sector.<\/div>\n

We also discussed my candidacy for Secretary-General of \ud835\udde8\ud835\udde1 \ud835\udde7\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddfa, ahead of the upcoming elections. We reaffirmed our shared view that the priorities I have set forth\u2014promoting sustainability, strengthening resilience, embracing digital transformation, and above all, ensuring transparency and sound governance\u2014are essential for enabling \ud835\udde8\ud835\udde1 \ud835\udde7\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddfa to assume a leading role in this new era for the global tourism sector.
