This week at ITB Berlin, I had the privilege of engaging with many representatives from member states—both within and outside the Executive Council—discussing the future of global tourism and the fundamental changes needed for a stronger, more united UN Tourism.
It was an honor to receive the PATWA Award for Man of the Year, a recognition that reinforces my commitment to a tourism sector built on transparency, inclusiveness, fairness, competence, unity, and reform. These are the values that guide my candidacy for Secretary-General, and they will shape the future of our industry.
As we move forward, I remain dedicated to creating an organization that listens to all voices, ensures equal opportunities, and restores credibility on the global stage. The conversations and insights from ITB Berlin have only strengthened my resolve to bring much-needed change.
